Mahmoud H. Abu Elella
Dr. Mahmoud H. Abu Elella received M.Sc. and Ph.D.in Polymer Chemistry from the Chemistry Department, Faculty of Science, Cairo University, Egypt. He is working as a lecturer in polymer science and technology at the same institute. Currently, he is working as a postdoctoral research associate at the School of Chemistry and Pharmacy, University of Reading, UK. His research experience focuses on the synthesis of novel biopolymeric formulations, such as grafted copolymers, hydrogels, scaffold materials, polymer nanocomposites, nanoparticles, nanostructured lipid nanoparticles, polymer-coated liposomes, nanoemulsions, polymer-coated silica nanoparticles, and microparticles for biomedical applications. He recently developing mucoadhesive inhalable polymeric powders using two-fluid nozzle and three-fluid nozzle spray drying techniques for pulmonary and nasal drug delivery. He was listed in the World’s Top 2% Most-cited Scientists list by the Standford University Ranking in 2023 and 2024..

Sabu Thomas is a Professor and Director of the International and Interuniversity Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala, India. Professor Thomas is internationally recognized for his contributions to polymer science and engineering, with his research interests encompassing polymer nanocomposites, elastomers, polymer blends, interpenetrating polymer networks, polymer membranes, green composites, nanocomposites, nanomedicine, and green nanotechnology. His groundbreaking inventions in polymer nanocomposites, polymer blends, green bionanotechnology, and nano-biomedical sciences have significantly advanced the development of new materials for the automotive, space, housing, and biomedical fields.
