Ibrahim Dincer

Dr. Ibrahim Dincer is professor of Mechanical Engineering at the Ontario Tech. University and visiting professor at Yildiz Technical University. He has authored numerous books and book chapters, and many refereed journal and conference papers. He has chaired many national and international conferences, symposia, workshops, and technical meetings. He has also delivered many plenary, keynote and invited lectures. He is an active member of various international scientific organizations and societies, and serves as editor in chief, associate editor, regional editor, and editorial board member for various prestigious international journals. He is a recipient of several research, teaching and service awards, including the Premier׳s Research Excellence Award in Ontario, Canada. For the past seven years in a row he has been recognized by Thomson Reuters as one of The Most Influential Scientific Minds in Engineering and one of the Most Highly Cited Researchers.

Azzam Abu-Rayash

Azzam Abu-Rayash is an Assistant Professor at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (Qatar), Governor and Research Associate at Ontario Tech University (Canada), and the CEO of Polaris Energy Sustainability Solutions. Dr. Abu-Rayash has over a decade of industrial and research experience in the energy industry and sustainability field and has published numerous books and peer-reviewed articles on the topics of energy sustainability and smart cities. He has also presented research at national and international conferences. He authored the energy plan for the City of Oshawa, which was recognized by the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) by receiving the Institutional Energy Management Award for 2020. Currently, he leads a research project on district energy that involves multiple municipalities, the Regional Municipality of Durham as well as OPG. He is licensed as a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) by the Association of Energy Engineers.
