About the editors

Sanket Goel

Sanket Goel is with the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department at BITS-Pilani, Hyderabad since 2015. Earlier, he headed the same department (2017-2020), and R&D department at UPES, Dehradun (2011-2015). Sanket did his BSc (H- Physics) from Ramjas College, Delhi University; MSc (Physics) from IIT Delhi; PhD (Electrical and Computer Engineering) from University of Alberta, Canada in 1998, 2000, and 2006 respectively. Sanket did his postdoc at Stanford University (2006-2008) and was a PI with ASTAR, Singapore (2008- 20011). His lab focusses on MEMS, Microfluidics and Nanoelectronics for Energy and Bio Applications. Sanket has won several awards, like JSPS Fellowship (2021), BITS Best Faculty Award (2021), Fulbright fellowship (2015). Sanket has >250 publications and 16 patents to his credits, and has delivered >85 invited talks and guided/guiding ~40 PhD students. He is an Associate Editor of IEEE Sensors Journal, IEEE Transactions on NanoBioscience, IEEE Access, Applied Nanoscience, Journal of Nanobiotechnology, Journal of Electrochemical Science and Engineering.

Sohan Dudala

Sohan completed his Doctoral Degree from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus in the field of Bio-MEMS. During his doctoral program, Sohan worked on microfluidic cardiac cell culture systems and developing cardiac biomarker assessment systems. Prior to his doctoral program, Sohan completed an extra credit program with Hiroshima University. Sohan also holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus and a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Manipal University Jaipur. Sohan holds wide exposure to interdisciplinary technology development with his previous work in the fields of metal oxide nanostructure coatings, microfluidic water and soil assessment systems, PCR diagnostic devices and point-of-care diagnostics
