Dr. Xingshun Qi is the director at the Department of Gastroenterology of the General Hospital of Northern Theater Command. His major research interests include clinical research in the etiology, diagnosis, and management of liver cirrhosis, portal hypertension, and hepatocellular carcinoma. He is serving as a senior editorial board member of BMC Gastroenterology, an academic editor of Canadian Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, an associate editor of Frontiers in Medicine, and an editorial board member of Therapeutic Advances in Gastroenterology. He has edited 11 English-language books and published more than 400 papers in peer-reviewed journals.

Chengwei Tang
Dr. Chengwei Tang is Director of the Department of Gastroenterology of the West China Hospital of the Sichuan University, China. Her main research interests include liver cirrhosis with portal hypertension, acute pancreatitis, intestinal mucosal immunity, gastrointestinal polypeptides, medical education, etc. Currently, she is serving as the President of the Chinese Society of Gastroenterology, the Vice President of the Gastroenterology Physician Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, the Executive Member of the Council of the Asian Pacific Association of Gastroenterology, and the Deputy Chief Editor of the nationally planned textbook "Internal Medicine". She has been honored as a National Advanced Medical Worker, a Renowned National Doctor, and has won the first prize of the First National Textbook Construction Award.
