Description

Crystallography of Phase Transformations in Metals and Alloys systematically introduces basic knowledge and analysis methods of phase transformation crystallography, providing practical guidance and application examples. Written by recognized experts in the field, this book covers geometric interface descriptions, experimental methods characterizing phase transformation crystallographic features, models and their physical bases for the quantitative interpretation of measured crystallographic features, possible prediction of preferred phase transformation crystallography, atomic simulation of interface structures and migration of interfaces, and examples of interpreting phase transformation crystallography in different materials. Additionally, relevant software with application examples are included. This book serves as a valuable reference for advanced students, researchers, and engineers interested in exploring both experimental and theoretical methods to investigate and comprehend the crystallographic features of phase transformation products.
