Description
Community-Sustaining Learning Experience Design: How to Improve UX in Higher Education, Workforce Training, and Professional Education addresses a critical gap in the field of Learning Experience Design (LxD) by comprehensively integrating inclusivity and organizational justice into the design process. While many existing resources touch on these important topics superficially, this book provides a thorough examination of actionable strategies that empower educators and designers to create equitable learning environments. The book begins with a preface that introduces the need for inclusivity in LxD and outlines the structure of the chapters, which cover essential topics such as stakeholder management, inclusive research planning, data collection and analysis, ideation, and the testing of learning artifacts. Each chapter is designed to equip readers with practical tools, templates, and insights from leading professors and practitioners, ensuring that design decisions are informed by diverse perspectives. By emphasizing the importance of inclusivity, this resource serves as an invaluable guide for scholars, professionals, and graduate students across various fields, including instructional design and workforce development. Community-Sustaining Learning Experience Design not only enhances understanding of LxD principles but also promotes meaningful engagement with learners, ultimately fostering environments where all individuals can thrive. This edited volume encourages contributions from diverse voices, enriching the discourse around inclusive design and its impact on education and training.
