Marc L Copersino

Marc L. Copersino, PhD, ABPP, is a clinical psychologist and clinician-investigator at McLean Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. He serves as Associate Director of Psychology Research in McLean’s Psychiatric Neurotherapeutics Program, Division of Depression and Anxiety Disorders, and is affiliated with the Division of Alcohol, Drugs, and Addiction and the Psychiatric Emergency Service and Consultation Program. Board-certified in both clinical psychology and addiction psychology, his work focuses on cognition, clinical neuroscience, and treatment development for substance use disorders and co-occurring psychiatric conditions. His research integrates neuropsychology, neuroimaging, noninvasive brain stimulation, and clinical research methods to study cognitive and brain network mechanisms, treatment response, and recovery. He has also contributed to cognition-oriented rehabilitation approaches following electroconvulsive therapy and for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. He serves as an Associate Editor of Substance Use & Misuse.

Tara Rezapour

Tara Rezapour, MSc, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Cognitive Psychology at the Institute for Cognitive Science Studies (ICSS) and a NIDA INVEST Fellow at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). An internationally recognized clinician-scientist, she has developed neuroscience-informed interventions in the fields of psychoeducation and cognitive rehabilitation for addiction treatment. Over the past five years, she has expanded her focus from treatment to prevention, exploring how neuroscience can inform the design of interventions tailored to adolescents. As a cognitive psychologist, she integrates practical clinical experience with scientific expertise to develop and implement evidence-based strategies that enhance cognitive resilience and metacognitive awareness among vulnerable adolescents. Her teaching experiences, coupled with extensive international collaborations, have strengthened her leadership abilities in managing interdisciplinary projects and engaging with global scientific communities, such as the Neuroscience Interest Group of the International Society of Addiction Medicine (ISAM-NIG).

Jamie Berry

Jamie Berry, DPsych, is a Clinical Associate Professor at Macquarie University and Director and Senior Clinical Neuropsychologist at Advanced Neuropsychological Treatment Services in Sydney, Australia. With more than 25 years of experience across clinical practice, research, and university teaching, his work focuses on cognitive assessment, cognitive remediation, and neuropsychological rehabilitation. His research has particularly examined cognitive interventions for people with psychiatric and substance use disorders, the development of reliable and culturally appropriate cognitive assessment methods, and the translation of neuropsychological science into everyday clinical practice. He has published widely on cognitive remediation, executive functioning, cognitive screening, and cross-cultural neuropsychology, and has supervised more than 30 postgraduate and honours research projects. He is a Board Member of the Australian Clinical Neuropsychology Association and serves on the Editorial Board of Neuropsychology Review.
