About the editors

Seyed Sina Mousavi

Seyed Sina Mousavi holds a master’s degree in the field of concrete structures from Babol Noshirvani University of Technology (NIT), Iran, and a PhD from the University of Quebec, Canada. Throughout his PhD studies, his research focused on creating ultra-high ductile concrete (UHDC) for 3D printing and self-healing concrete through a complex and innovative mechanism using superabsorbent polymer (SAP). He has worked as a postdoc researcher under the supervision of Prof. Dehestani at NIT and is currently employed by the Concrete Laboratory of the same institution as a senior researcher.

Mehdi Dehestani

Mehdi Dehestani received his PhD from the Sharif University of Technology, Iran. He has accrued 11 years of academic and teaching experience at Babol Noshirvani University of Technology, where he’s currently employed as a Full Professor in the Faculty of Civil Engineering. He is a well-respected supervisor of both master and PhD candidates and has published prolifically in peer-reviewed, highly ranked, JCR-indexed journals. His research interests span a wide range of composites, structural analysis, concrete, cementitious composites, and intelligent construction.

Jung Heum Yeon

Before joining Texas State University in 2021 where he’s currently employed as an assistant professor, Jung Heum Yeon was an assistant (2014-2019) and associate professor (2019-2021) at Gachon University in Seongnam, South Korea. There, he studied smart infrastructure materials and infrastructure systems. He received his PhD from the University of Texas at Austin. His current research covers a wide range of structural, material, and pavement engineering problems, with a common thread being applying smart and innovative technologies to all stages of a lifecycle, from design to construction, monitoring, and maintenance of civil infrastructure assets.
