With thorough coverage of a variety of disorders, chapters detail etiology, risk factors, pathophysiology, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, global incidence and prevalence, age-specific incidence, global mortality, prevention, treatment and prognosis for each disorder. Chapters uniquely discuss the effects of the COVID-19 coronavirus upon the nervous system and in relation to several diseases, including new discoveries and treatments for Alzheimer’s disease and migraine headaches. Real-world case studies with critical thinking questions and "Focus On" boxes highlight important information.
