Professor Lu, based at Institute of Transportation Engineering, Tsinghua University, China, is a consultant to many traffic authorities in Asia: including China and Singapore. He is director of the Tsinghua University branch of the National Road Traffic Management Technology Research Centre . His research areas include transportation planning and management, Intelligent Transportation Systems, sustainable transportation systems, and traffic safety. He is the author of more than 200 peer-reviewed journal articles.
