About the editors

Md Zillur Rahman

Dr. Md Zillur Rahman is an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He received his Ph.D. and M.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Auckland, New Zealand, and his B.Sc. (Eng.) from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. His research focuses on fiber-reinforced composites, nanocomposites, hybrid and bio-composites, bio-inspired materials, computational simulation, and processing–structure–property relationships in advanced composite materials, with particular emphasis on sustainable natural fiber and polymer composite systems. Dr. Rahman has authored more than 160 scholarly publications, including peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters, and is actively involved in editing scientific books with leading international publishers, including Elsevier, Springer, and ACS. He was included in the 2025 Stanford–Elsevier Top 2% Scientists list.

Srikanta Moharana

Dr. Srikanta Moharana is presently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry, School of Applied Sciences, Centurion University of Technology and Management, Odisha, India. He obtained his Ph.D. and M.Phil. degrees in Chemistry from the School of Chemistry, Sambalpur University, India. He received his M.Sc. degree in Chemistry from the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela. He has published more than 77 research papers in international peer-reviewed journals and over 85 book chapters in renowned international publications such as RSC, Elsevier, Wiley, Springer, and Taylor & Francis. Besides, he has edited 15 books under the banner of Elsevier, Springer Nature, RSC, and Taylor & Francis publications. Under his guidance, two PhD students have successfully received their Ph.D. degrees. Moreover, he has actively participated in and presented his research work at several international conferences and has been a Reviewer for reputed international journals. He has been awarded the Prof. G. B. Behera’s Best PhD thesis award under the banner of the Orissa Chemical Society, Odisha, India. He has more than 8 years of teaching and research experience. His research experience and interests lie in carbon nanomaterials (graphene and carbon nanotubes) and functional ceramic-based polymer nanocomposite synthesis and characterization for advanced energy storage applications. He is a Life Member of the Orissa Chemical Society.

Kalim Deshmukh

Dr. Kalim Deshmukh is a senior researcher at the New Technologies Research Centre, University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, Czech Republic. He has over 20 years of research experience in nanomaterials and polymeric materials, with particular expertise in polymer blends, nanocomposites, and nanohybrids. His work emphasizes nanoscale dispersion, interfacial chemistry, and structure–property relationships that influence material performance in applications such as energy storage, gas sensing, biosensing, electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding, and high-k dielectrics. He has authored more than 200 publications, including original research articles and review papers, in leading international journals and with major publishers, such as the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), American Chemical Society (ACS), Elsevier, Wiley-VCH, Springer, and Taylor & Francis. In addition to his research contributions, he has edited or co-edited several books published by ACS, RSC, Elsevier, Springer, Wiley-VCH, and Wiley Scrivener.
