Tao Yang is currently an Associate Professor within the Power Electronics, Machines and Control Group at the University of Nottingham, UK. His research expertise includes high-speed electric motor drive control, power electronic conversion, electrical system design and optimization for more-electric/hybrid/all-electric aircraft applications. Dr. Yang is an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Transportation Electrification and the Chinese Journal of Aeronautics, and is the Chair of the IEEE PELS Technical Committee on Aerospace Power.

Patrick Wheeler is currently a Professor and Head of the Power Electronics, Machines and Control Group at the University of Nottingham, UK since January 2008. He also serves as the Global Engagement Director for the Faculty of Engineering and as the Director of the Institute of Aerospace Technology, both at the University of Nottingham, UK. He was Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the same university from 2015 to 2018. He has published over 850 academic publications in leading international conferences and journals.
