Description

Autonomous Intelligence: Designing the Future of Agentic Systems provides insights on how autonomous technologies—from robots to AI-driven systems— are transforming industries and daily life. The book explores how these intelligent agents operate independently, making decisions and taking actions without constant human intervention. Through clear explanations and real-world examples, the book serves as a gateway for both novices and experts as it simplifies the complexities of autonomous systems. Sections cover Foundations of AI and Autonomy; Understanding Agentic Intelligence; Technology Enablers and Architectures; Design, Safety, and Deployment; Sectoral Applications of Agentic AI; Societal, Ethical, and Future Considerations.

The book also considers how these technologies function, while also addressing concerns about their integration, limitations, potential benefits, and possible risks. In a rapidly evolving field, the book looks at latest trends, applications, and research, and at the ethical and legal considerations, especially in areas like employment, privacy, and accountability.
