Description
Description
Analytical Chemistry for Nonaqueous Solutions is an authoritative volume that addresses a critical gap in the literature by thoroughly exploring both theoretical underpinnings and current, emergent applications of nonaqueous systems. Combining fundamental principles with advanced methodologies, the book covers a broad spectrum of techniques, including titrimetric, electrochemical, spectroscopic, chromatographic, and mass spectrometric methods, applied to nonaqueous solvents. The book highlights emerging trends such as ionic liquids, green analytical chemistry, and computational modelling, providing insights into solvent properties, classification, and their practical applications across industries such as pharmaceuticals, environmental monitoring, petrochemicals, and forensic science. By integrating case studies, troubleshooting strategies, and detailed procedural guidance, it facilitates effective method development, optimization, and data interpretation in complex nonaqueous environments. Designed for graduate students, researchers, and R&D professionals, this volume serves as both a learning resource and a practical guide. It equips analytical chemists, method developers, and industry practitioners to select appropriate solvents, understand solvent–solute interactions, and troubleshoot techniques originally designed for aqueous systems. The structured approach, including visual abstracts, practice exercises, and extensive appendices, ensures users can effectively apply principles in research and industry settings. As a forward-looking reference, the book supports ongoing innovation and sustainability efforts in the evolving field of nonaqueous analytical chemistry, making it an essential resource for advancing both knowledge and practice.is an authoritative volume that addresses a critical gap in the literature by exploring both theoretical underpinnings and emergent applications of nonaqueous systems.
