This book discusses lipid metabolism in microorganisms wherein one relates specifically to the fatty acids of microorganisms and the other to general aspects of lipid metabolism in microorganisms. Organized into seven chapters, this volume begins with an overview of some of the contributions of lipid research to the understanding of the clotting mechanism. This text then examines the extent to which dietary carbohydrate interferes in lipid metabolism.
