Ranbir Chander Sobti

Dr. Ranbir Chander (RC) Sobti is Emeritus Professor at Punjab University, Chandigarh, and Honorary Scientist at the Indian National Science Academy. He started his career as a cytogeneticist and progressed to molecular biology and disease processes of cancer, COPD, AIDS, metabolic syndrome, and kidney diseases. He is a Fellow of the Third World Academy of Sciences, National Academy of Sciences India, Indian National Science Academy, National Academy of Medical Sciences, National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Canadian Academy of Cardiovascular Diseases Royal Society of biology and international Association of Cancer Research. Dr. Sobti has participated in several book projects, including Elsevier’s Advances in Animal Experimentation and Modeling; Biomarkers in Cancer Detection and Monitoring of Therapeutics; Molecular Medicine and Biomedical Research in the Era of Precision Medicine; One Planet, One Health, One Future; Probiotics; and Public and Environmental Health.

Aastha Sobti

Aastha Sobti is a Doctoral student at the Department of Immunotechnology at Lund University, Sweden. Her research areas interests include translational medicine, clinical dentistry, cancer immunology, biomarkers, diagnostics and medical oncology. Aastha Sobti has written two books with Elsevier: "Biomarkers in Cancer Detection and Monitoring of Therapeutics" (2023) and Molecular Medicine and Biomedical Research in the Era of Precision Medicine (2025).

Jagmohan Singh

Dr. Jagmohan Singh holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology and Cancer Genomics from Punjab University, Chandigarh, India. He is currently serving as an adjunct faculty in Anatomy and Physiology at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He has made significant contribution in Gastric Physiology and Pharmacology. His current research focus is on cancer immunotherapy and vaccine development against cancer recurrence. Dr. Singh's teaching and research experience has provided him with valuable insights into reviewing and editing scientific papers, review articles and book chapters, with diverse scientific aims. His research findings have been published in numerous internationally reputed journals. He has also made substantial contributions to cancer immunotherapy, including vaccine production, quality control, and clinical trials. As a multifaceted professional with a robust background in research, education, and administration, Dr. Singh’s contributions will be highly insightful to fulfilling the purpose of this book.

Harpal S. Buttar

Dr. Buttar has made valuable contributions to nanobiotechnology, phytomedicines, functional foods, clinical nutrition and prevention of cardiovascular diseases, obesity, and diabetes. In January 2014, the International Academy of Cardiovascular Sciences (India Section) established the "Dr. Harpal S. Buttar Oration Award" to recognize his leadership and contributions in promoting dietary and lifestyle changes in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases in Canada and around the world. Based on his scientific accomplishments and distinguished contributions he was awarded Fellowships from the Punjab Academy of Sciences, International College of Nutrition, International Academy of Cardiovascular Sciences, and Indian Society of Pharmaceutical Education and Research. In 2019 the Society for Ethnopharmacology, India, gave the Special Recognition Award to Dr. Buttar for his outstanding contributions made in Phytomedicines and promotion of research in Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Sciences. He has authored / co-authored 56 book chapters, one monograph, and 158 research and review papers published in peer-reviewed journals.
