Description

Advanced Systems Modeling and Simulation covers a wide range of concepts, tools, and techniques related to advanced systems modeling and simulation. A simulation is a computer model of a system, and nearly any phenomenon can be analyzed and described as a system to gain practical insights into its functioning. The increase in computing power and ongoing advancements in data creation and storage have expanded the range of applications for simulations, adding significant value and creating a demand for guidance on using these tools in new contexts. Beginning with fundamental information on modeling and simulation, this book offers detailed and practical advice on the most relevant methods. It also explores case studies across various fields, including transportation, supply chain, manufacturing, and healthcare. The book helps readers understand the fundamentals of system simulation, methods for systems modeling and simulation, advanced systems modeling, and how to select and apply the appropriate simulation method for their specific applications while performing case studies.
