About the authors
Qi Qiao
Qiao Qi is a Second Grade Researcher, Chief Scientist of Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences (CRAES), Doctoral Supervisor. She is an expert of the State Council Government Special Allowance and a national environmental protection professional and technical leader. Currently, she is the director of the Chinese Society of Environmental Sciences, the director of the Ecological Industry Branch of the Chinese Society of Environmental Sciences, the executive member of the Pollution Reduction and Carbon Reduction Collaborative Governance Committee of the Chinese Society of Environmental Sciences, and the executive director of the Industrial Ecological Economy and Technology Committee of the Chinese Society of Ecological Economics. She is mainly engaged in the research of cleaner production, eco-industry and industrial pollution source management. In the past five years, she has presided over more than twenty national and provincial key scientific research projects, authorized over ten invention patents, and won over ten provincial and ministerial science and technology awards.
LB
Lu Bai
Dr. Bai Lu, a young elite in ecological and environmental protection, serves as a professor at the Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences. Specialising in the prevention and control of industrial pollution, she uses industrial metabolism theory to study the mechanisms of material flow and the characteristics of pollutant emissions in industrial processes. Overcoming the limitations of traditional methods, which are overly subjective and imprecise, her innovative research identifies metabolic pathways, quantifies emissions and formulates regional reduction strategies. Dr Bai has earned seven provincial/ministerial science awards, as well as honours such as National Advanced Individual in Pollution Source Census and Outstanding Young Scientist.
YZ
Yue Zhang
Zhang Yue, Senior Engineer at the Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences. Specializes in industrial pollution source management, pollution pattern identification, and industrial park symbiotic network construction. Contributed to over twenty national projects, including the Second National Pollution Source Census, heavy air pollution research, and Yangtze/Yellow River ecological initiatives. Developed innovative methodologies for pollution accounting models (Minimum Pollution Generation Benchmark), emission parameter coding systems, and a collaborative pollution-carbon reduction evaluation model. Established national standards for ecological industrial parks, implemented in over seventy parks. Authored over thirty papers, several patents/soft copyrights, monographs, and received provincial/ministerial awards.
