      An Affiliated Journal of The Combustion InstituteProgress in Energy and Combustion Science (PECS) publishes review articles on all aspects of energy and combustion science, providing a comprehensive in-depth overview, evaluation, and discussion of a particular topic. Climate change and conservation of energy requires an efficient combustion of fossil fuels and as importantly, emerging sustainable energy systems beyond combustion. The protection of the environment demands a limitation of the pollutants, including greenhouse gases, emitted from combustion and other energy-intensive systems. Combustion also plays an important role in process technology and materials science.Progress in Energy and Combustion Science contains articles by internationally recognized authors in the fields of combustion, flames, fuel science and technology, and a wide range of sustainable energy solutions. Each volume contains a number of specially commissioned review articles that provide the reader with an orderly and concise survey and scientific discussion of a particular aspect of combustion and energy. While they should not be unnecessarily long, the length of the articles allows authors to discuss their subjects more fully and comprehensively than can be undertaken in papers reporting original work. These review articles provide an opportunity for researchers to become usefully informed in fields other than their own. They are of use to students seeking a review of a particular subject, together with a comprehensive bibliography, as well as to engineers working in government and industrial research establishments, seeking practical solutions.Reviews are by invitation of the editors only. Reports improving our understanding of how phytochemicals act in planta are particularly welcomed, as are studies of transgenic organisms or of metabolic variation.Reviews are an authoritative and timely overview in a defined area and are intended to catch the interest of the general reader. A Review is a critical analysis of the current state of knowledge, pointing out strengths and weaknesses, weighing the significance of the studies conducted, how these fit into the more general subject area, and what are the key areas for further work.       The Journal of Computational Physics (JCP) focuses on the computational aspects of physical problems. JCP encourages original scientific contributions in advanced mathematical and numerical modeling reflecting a combination of concepts, methods and principles which are often interdisciplinary in nature and span several areas of physics, mechanics, applied mathematics, statistics, applied geometry, computer science, chemistry and other scientific disciplines as well: the Journal's editors seek to emphasize methods that cross disciplinary boundaries.JCP also encourages the submission of papers that develop innovative methods bridging mathematical, physical modeling and algorithmization, e.g. at the frontier between predictive simulation and machine learning. When addressing problems previously covered by other approaches, a comparison should be provided. As for any paper in JCP, the efficacy, robustness, computational complexity, as well as reproducibility should be addressed.JCP also publishes short notes of 4 pages or less (including figures, tables, and references but excluding title pages). Letters to the Editor commenting on articles already published in this Journal will also be considered. Neither notes nor letters should have an abstract.       JMR (Journal of Magnetic Resonance) presents original technical and scientific papers in all aspects of magnetic resonance, including nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR) of solids and liquids, electron spin/paramagnetic resonance (EPR), in vivo magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and spectroscopy (MRS), nuclear quadrupole resonance (NQR) and magnetic resonance phenomena at nearly zero fields or in combination with optics. JMR's main aims include deepening the physical principles underlying all these spectroscopies, publishing significant theoretical and experimental results leading to spectral and spatial progress in these areas, and opening new MR-based applications in chemistry, biology and medicine. JMR also seeks descriptions of novel apparatuses, new experimental protocols, and new procedures of data analysis and interpretation - including computational and quantum-mechanical methods - capable of advancing MR spectroscopy and imaging.With a solid track record spanning over four decades, JMR is known for introducing high-quality, breakthrough articles.
