The Journal provides a channel of communication for scientists and professionals in all countries working in the many disciplines that employ photogrammetry, remote sensing, spatial information systems, computer vision, and related fields. The Journal is designed to serve as a source reference and archive of advancements in these disciplines.The P&RS objective is to publish high quality, peer-reviewed, preferably previously unpublished papers of a scientific/research, technological development or application/practica... nature. P&RS will publish papers, including those based on ISPRS meeting presentations*, which are regarded as significant contributions in the above-mentioned fields. We especially encourage papers: of broad scientific interest; on innovative applications, particularly in new fields; of an interdisciplinary nature; on topics that have not been dealt with (or to a small degree) by P&RS or related journals; and on topics related to new possible scientific/professio... directions. That is, the journal article will only be considered if more extensive experiments and discussion are presented (even if the same methods are used) and/or the methods have been significantly improved and/or advanced (even if the same datasets have been used). The burden of explicitly describing the differences between these publications rests with the author(s). International Journal of Applied Earth Observation and Geoinformation

The International Journal of Applied Earth Observation and Geoinformation publishes original papers that apply earth observation data to the inventory and management of natural resources and the environment. In this context, earth observation data are normally those acquired from remote sensing platforms such as satellites and aircraft, complemented and supplemented by surface and subsurface measurements and mapping. Natural resources include forests, agricultural land, soils, water resources, mineral deposits, and land itself as a foundation for infrastructure and housing. Environmental issues include biodiversity, land degradation, industrial pollution and natural hazards such as earthquakes, floods and landslides. The focus, which can be either conceptual or data driven, includes all major themes in geoinformation, like capturing, databasing, visualization and interpretation of data, but also issues of data quality and spatial uncertainty.Since the scope is large, contributions should be of the highest quality, both qualitatively and quantitatively. Some will convey important recommendations for environmental management and governance. Contributions that expand existing methodology in image and point cloud processing, geospatial mapping, and big spatiotemporal data analytics using GeoAI are welcome. The journal encourages 'Discussion' articles that stimulate dialogue between earth observation studies and managers in a statistically sound way, 'Review' articles that provide an overview of scientific developments in a particular scientific domain in recent years, and 'Letter' articles that provide rapid communications on the state-of-the-art methods and novel applications of geospatial data.

Spatial Statistics

Spatial Statistics publishes articles on the theory and application of spatial and spatio-temporal statistics. It favours manuscripts that present theory generated by new applications, or in which new theory is applied to an important practical case. A purely theoretical study will only rarely be accepted. Pure case studies and algorithms without methodological development are not acceptable for publication.Spatial Statistics concerns the quantitative analysis of spatial and spatio-temporal data, including their statistical dependencies, heterogeneity, accuracy and uncertainties. Methodology for spatial statistics is typically found in probability theory, stochastic modelling and mathematical statistics as well as in information and computer science. Spatial statistics is used in mapping, assessing spatial data quality, sampling design optimisation, modelling of spatial structures, and drawing of valid inference and causality from a limited set of spatio-temporal data. Application fields include:• The physical domains, e.g. environment, climate, agriculture, ecology, geosciences oceanography and remote sensing. • The social/economic domains, e.g. epidemiology, population characteristics, and disease mapping.Spatial Statistics encourages the submission of short communications and case studies in spatial statistics (i.e. manuscripts up to 3000 words presenting novel spatial statistical applications).Spatia...
