Journal of Luminescence is an interdisciplinary journal of research on the excited state processes on condensed matter. The journal provides a means of communication between scientists in different disciplines who share a common interest in the electronic excited states of molecular, ionic and covalent systems, whether crystalline, amorphous, or liquid. Submissions in the traditional areas of optical spectroscopy (absorption, magnetic circular dichroism, luminescence, Raman scattering, radiative & non-radiative relaxation) are welcome. Papers on applications (phosphors, scintillators, photochromism, electro- and cathodo-luminescence, radiography, bioimaging, solar energy, energy conversion, etc.) are also welcome if they present results of scientific, rather than only technological interests.The journal publishes topics including but not limited to: exciton and polariton dynamics, dynamics of localized excited states, energy and charge transport in ordered and disordered systems, vibronic interactions in electronic excited states, photophysics and photochemistry in condensed systems, excited state resonance, spin dynamics, hole burning, coherent processes in excited states, multiphoton processes, optical biostability and new techniques for the study of excited states.The journal does not accept submissions containing purely theoretical results not related to excited-state phenomena, reporting new measurements without contribution for understanding excited-state phenomena, or using luminescence spectroscopy to perform merely analytical chemistry or biochemistry procedures. Some exceptions will be possible at the discretion of the editors.

JPPA publishes the results of fundamental studies on all aspects of chemical phenomena induced by interactions between light and molecules/matter of all kinds.All systems capable of being described at the molecular or integrated multimolecular level are appropriate for the journal. This includes all molecular chemical species as well as biomolecular, supramolecular, polymer and other macromolecular systems, as well as solid state photochemistry. In addition, the journal publishes studies of semiconductor and other photoactive organic and inorganic materials, photocatalysis (organic, inorganic, supramolecular and superconductor).The scope includes condensed and gas phase photochemistry, as well as synchrotron radiation chemistry. A broad range of processes and techniques in photochemistry are covered such as light induced energy, electron and proton transfer; nonlinear photochemical behavior; mechanistic investigation of photochemical reactions and identification of the products of photochemical reactions; quantum yield determinations and measurements of rate constants for primary and secondary photochemical processes; steady-state and time-resolved emission, ultrafast spectroscopic methods, single molecule spectroscopy, time resolved X-ray diffraction, luminescence microscopy, and scattering spectroscopy applied to photochemistry. Papers in emerging and applied areas such as luminescent sensors, electroluminescence, solar energy conversion, atmospheric photochemistry, environmental remediation, and related photocatalytic chemistry are also welcome.JPPA publishes Regular Articles, Invited Feature Articles, and Short Notes. Regular Articles allow for a complete overview of research results. Specialist researchers will be occasionally invited by Editors to write Invited Feature Articles. Alternatively, proposals for Invited Feature Articles may be submitted by e-mail to one of the Editors for consideration. Invited Feature Articles are intended to present an overview of the author's recent work in relation to other published research in the field, and are not intended to be a comprehensive overview of a particular sub-discipline. Short Notes are 2-page papers with relevant new results, data or technical reports that are important to the photochemistry community.Papers that are only minor extensions of previous work or contain mainly descriptions of the synthesis of molecules or materials without a detailed photochemistry study will not be accepted for publication.Prospective authors of review articles are kindly advised to consult the Journal of Photochemistry and Photobiology C: Photochemistry Reviews and follow manuscript preparation instructions as described athttps://www.elsevier.com/locate/jphotochemrev.

An International Journal Devoted to Photovoltaic, Photothermal, and Photochemical Solar Energy ConversionSolar Energy Materials & Solar Cells is intended as a vehicle for the dissemination of research results on materials science and technology related to photovoltaic, photothermal and photoelectrochemical solar energy conversion. Materials science is taken in the broadest possible sense and encompasses physics, chemistry, optics, materials fabrication and analysis for all types of materials.Of particular interest are: Solar Cells, covering single crystal, polycrystalline and amorphous materials utilising homojunctions and heterojunctions, Schottky barriers, liquid junctions and their applications. Also of interest is analysis of component materials, individual cells and complete systems, including their economic aspects. Photothermal Devices, in the broadest sense, including solar absorber devices, heat storage materials, radiative cooling systems and their applications. Photoelectrochemical and Photochemical Devices, covering photoelectrodes, photocatalysis, photoconversion and solar desalination systems and their applications. Optical Properties of materials, including light trapping, texturising, solar concentrators which include imaging and non-imaging optical collectors.
