Official Organ of the International Federation of Clinical Neurophysiology, the Brazilian Society of Clinical Neurophysiology, the Czech Society of Clinical Neurophysiology, and the International Society of Intraoperative Neurophysiology.SCOPE OF THE JOURNAL: Clinical Neurophysiology is dedicated to publishing scholarly reports on the pathophysiology underlying diseases of the peripheral and central nervous system of humans. Reports on clinical trials that use neurophysiological measures as endpoints are encouraged, as are manuscripts on integrated neuroimaging of peripheral and central nervous function including, but not limited to, functional MRI, brain mapping, MEG, EEG, PET, ultrasound, and other neuroimaging modalities. Studies on normal human neurophysiology are welcome, if they are relevant to disease or clinical applications. Studies on animals and technical reports must have clear applicability to human disease. Case reports may be considered (exclusively as Letters-to-the-Editor), if implying substantial advancement of knowledge.Clinical Neurophysiology covers epilepsy, developmental clinical neurophysiology, psychophysiology and psychopathology, motor control and movement disorders, somatosensory disorders including pain, motor neuron diseases, neuromuscular diseases, neuropathies, sleep and disorders of consciousness, auditory and vestibular disorders, aging, Alzheimer's disease, other dementias, other psychiatric disorders, autonomic disorders, neural plasticity and recovery, intraoperative and ICU monitoring, and therapeutic clinical neurophysiology including non-invasive and invasive brain stimulation.All studies published in Clinical Neurophysiology must stand on their own and make a substantial contribution to the literature. Official Organ of the International Federation of Clinical Neurophysiology. Clinical Neurophysiology Practice is a companion journal to Clinical NeurophysiologyClinical Neurophysiology Practice (CNP) is a new Open Access journal that focuses on clinical practice issues in clinical neurophysiology including relevant new research, case reports or clinical series, normal values and didactic reviews. It is an official journal of the International Federation of Clinical Neurophysiology and complements Clinical Neurophysiology which focuses on innovative research in the specialty. It has a role in supporting established clinical practice, and an educational role for trainees, technicians and practitioners.Types of manuscripts for consideration include: educational reviews and expert-consensus clinical practice guidelines, original research papers (including papers reporting normative data), extended case reports, systematic reviews, editorials, and Letters to the Editor.As a journal devoted to education and evidence-based clinical practice in the specialty, the priorities for Clinical Neurophysiology Practice differ from those of our companion IFCN journal Clinical Neurophysiology. Novelty is a critical issue for research-focused journals such as Clinical Neurophysiology, but is less important for Clinical Neurophysiology Practice. Quality papers may be rejected by research-focused journals because the studies do not report new advances in knowledge or are of low (research) impact, or because studies are deemed incremental, confirmatory, negative or outside journal priorities. However in clinical practice negative studies may be just as important as positive studies, and well-conceived papers reporting negative data or confirmatory results are welcome because clinical advances need confirmation before they are introduced into clinical care. Similarly, case reports can be particularly educational and are welcome. Case reports must have a neurophysiological focus and illustrate the diagnostic process, using figures that are of high quality. These reports are not specifically limited in length, the number of figures or the number of references.

The Journal of Neuroscience Methods publishes papers that describe new methods that are specifically for neuroscience research conducted in invertebrates, vertebrates or in man. Major methodological improvements or important refinements of established neuroscience methods are also considered for publication. The Journal's Scope includes all aspects of contemporary neuroscience research, including anatomical, behavioural, biochemical, cellular, computational, molecular, invasive and non-invasive imaging, optogenetic, and physiological research investigations.The Journal no longer publishes papers that exclusively deal with research on skin, muscle (and muscle function, evoked muscle activity, EMG, motor evoked potentials, kinematics, motor learning, rehabilitation) and eye (retina, EOG, hand-eye co-ordination). Analytical and binding methods for neuroactive drugs/neurotransmitters/other endogenous nervous system substances, as well as manuscripts that deal with language, toxicology, clinical trials and case reports are also not considered for publication. Finally, manuscripts dealing exclusively with new algorithms/softwares are not considered for publication in this Journal. Psychiatry Research: Neuroimaging

The Official Publication of the International Society for Neuroimaging in Psychiatry Psychiatry Research: Neuroimaging, a companion title to Psychiatry Research, focuses on publications relating to imaging techniques. We publish manuscripts on magnetic resonance imaging, positron emission tomography, multichannel electrophysiology, near-infrared spectroscopy, computed tomography, magnetoencephalography, non-invasive brain stimulation, autoradiography, post-mortem regional analyses, and other imaging techniques. Reports concerning results in neuropsychiatric disorders and psychopathology and the effects of behavioral tasks, neurobiological-, psychotherapy-, and pharmacological treatments are featured. We also invite manuscripts on the methods of obtaining images and computer processing of the images themselves. Reviews, meta-analysis and selected case reports are also published.
