  • Neuroscience & Biobehavioral Reviews

    • ISSN: 0149-7634
Neuroscience and BioBehavioral Reviews is a peer-reviewed journal publishing reviews that integrate brain function and behavior across a range of areas including physiology, psychology, health and disease across the entire lifecourse of model organisms, and humans. The journal publishes review articles, mini-reviews, opinion pieces, and society consensus statements, which are novel and of exceptional significance.Submiss... to the journal are actively encouraged which deal with topics not only in the more traditional areas of behavioral neuroscience, and psychology, but also in the following areas, whenever the reviews bring new insights into brain-behavior relations or biobehavioral health: Aging biology and geroscience, Biological psychiatry, Cognitive neuroscience, Computational modelling and AI, Developmental biology, Endocrinology, Evolutionary Biology, Genetics, Immunology, Metabolic regulation and nutrition, Neuroeconomics, Neuropsychology, Physiology, Pharmacology, and other related disciplines. We do not publish empirical papers, and no unpublished data should be included in the manuscripts. New analyses and modelling of previously published and publicly available dataset are allowed as long as their inclusion is essential to support the narrative of the Review. Simple data re-analyses (including meta-analyses) without a new conceptual or theoretical framework will not be considered. We welcome review articles from clinical researchers whose submission exceeds the high-quality threshold for the journal and significantly advances our understanding of a field. We require a statement disclosing any use of AI tools to assist in writing the acknowledgements section. If none, simply state “No AI tool was used to generate any part of the paper”. Any non-disclosed use of AI may result in editorial withdrawal.
  • Neural Networks

    • ISSN: 0893-6080
The journal Neural Networks provides a forum for developing and nurturing an international community of scholars and practitioners who are interested in all aspects of neural networks, including deep learning and related approaches to artificial intelligence and machine learning.Neural Networks welcomes submissions that contribute to the full range of neural networks research, from cognitive modeling and computational neuroscience, through deep learning algorithms and mathematical analyses, to engineering and technological applications of systems that significantly use neural network concepts and learning techniques. This uniquely broad range facilitates the cross-fertilization of ideas between biological and technological studies, and helps to foster the development of the interdisciplinary community that is interested in biologically-inspire... artificial intelligence. Accordingly, the Neural Networks editorial board represents experts in fields including psychology, neurobiology, computer science, engineering, mathematics, and physics. On the other hand, neural networks should be central to submissions. The journal publishes articles, letters, and reviews/tutorials, as well as letters to the editor, editorials, and current events. Articles are published in one of five sections: learning systems, cognitive science, neuroscience, mathematical and computational analysis, engineering and applications.Neural Networks is the archival journal of three of the oldest and most prominent neural network societies: the International Neural Network Society (INNS), the Asia-Pacific Neural Network Society (APNNS), and the Japanese Neural Network Society (JNNS). A subscription to the journal is included with membership in each of these societies.

  • Journal of Neuroscience Methods

    • ISSN: 0165-0270
The Journal of Neuroscience Methods publishes papers that describe new methods that are specifically for neuroscience research conducted in invertebrates, vertebrates or in man. Major methodological improvements or important refinements of established neuroscience methods are also considered for publication. The Journal's Scope includes all aspects of contemporary neuroscience research, including anatomical, behavioural, biochemical, cellular, computational, molecular, invasive and non-invasive imaging, optogenetic, and physiological research investigations. The Journal no longer publishes papers that exclusively deal with research on skin, muscle (and muscle function, evoked muscle activity, EMG, motor evoked potentials, kinematics, motor learning, rehabilitation) and eye (retina, EOG, hand-eye co-ordination). Analytical and binding methods for neuroactive drugs/neurotransmitt... endogenous nervous system substances, as well as manuscripts that deal with language, toxicology, clinical trials and case reports are also not considered for publication. Finally, manuscripts dealing exclusively with new algorithms/softwares are not considered for publication in this Journal. Finally, manuscripts dealing exclusively with new tools/software with no scientific/research component are not considered for publication in this Journal.

  • Ageing Research Reviews

    • ISSN: 1568-1637
As the average human life expectancy has increased, so too has the impact of ageing and age-related disease on our society. Ageing research is now the focus of thousands of laboratories that include leaders in the areas of genetics, molecular and cellular biology, biochemistry, and behaviour. Ageing Research Reviews (ARR) covers the trends in this field. It is designed to fill a large void, namely, a source for critical reviews and viewpoints on emerging findings on mechanisms of ageing and age-related disease. Rapid advances in understanding of mechanisms that control cellular proliferation, differentiation and survival are leading to new insight into the regulation of ageing. From telomerase to stem cells to energy and oxyradical metabolism, this is an exciting new era in the multidisciplinary field of ageing research. The cellular and molecular underpinnings of manipulations that extend lifespan, such as caloric restriction, are being identified and novel approaches for preventing age-related diseases are being developed. ARR publishes articles on focussed topics selected from the broad field of ageing research, with an emphasis on cellular and molecular mechanisms of the aging process and age-related diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and neurodegenerative disorders. Applications of basic ageing research to lifespan extension and disease prevention are also covered in this journal.
