Archives of Gerontology and Geriatrics Plus is a companion title to the well-established and respected journal Archives of Gerontology and Geriatrics. It is an open access, quarterly, international journal integrating Experimental, Clinical, and Social Studies on Ageing.Archives of Gerontology and Geriatrics Plus serves as a platform for publishing papers within the domains of aging biology, experimental gerontology, and clinical and social gerontology. The primary objective of the journal is to facilitate the exchange of advanced knowledge among experts in these specialized research fields. We welcome experimental papers that delve into the fundamental mechanisms of aging, spanning molecular, cellular, tissue, and organ levels.Our journal considers clinical papers for publication if they introduce novel insights or hold fundamental significance for the understanding of human aging and healthcare for the elderly. Purely descriptive clinical papers are eligible for acceptance only when their results offer room for further interpretation. Moreover, we eagerly invite papers addressing pharmacological interventions targeting age-related conditions in humans.Additionally, we extend an invitation for submissions focusing on the social dimensions of gerontology. Such papers are encouraged if they contribute to a broader understanding of aging epidemiology, as well as the efficacy and operational methodologies of social institutions dedicated to elderly healthcare.

Heliyon considers research from all areas of the physical, applied, life, social and medical sciences. We publish manuscripts reporting scientifically accurate and valuable research, which adheres to accepted ethical and scientific publishing standards. As such Heliyon publishes new insights as well as extensions on existing theories, negative/null results and replication studies.Submissions covering arts, humanities and law are not considered in Heliyon. Authors of these submissions are encouraged to submit directly to our partner journal Social Sciences & Humanities Open.Heliyon classifies manuscripts/articles into different sections based on the research topic discussed. Some sections exclude certain types of studies from their scope. The Journal of Aging Research & Lifestyle (JARLife) is an e-only gold open access peer-reviewed journal committed to publishing high-quality research on all areas related to lifestyle and aging.
The Journal has five initial sections that aim to cover the broad spectrum of lifestyle research during aging:
Physical activity, exercise and aging;Nutrition and aging;
Cognitive stimulation and aging;
Geroscience and lifestyle;
Digital aspects, lifestyle and aging.
Research on other lifestyle topics not covered in the above mentioned sections are also welcome.
Original investigations using all types of study designs, from observational investigations to interventions, but also qualitative studies, are accepted, as well as other types of articles, such as Reviews, Meta-Analyses, Comments/Perspectives, Letters-to-the-Editor, Methodological papers and Research Protocols.
High priority is given to studies investigating the interactions of multiple health behaviors during aging, in particular, clinical trials of multidomain lifestyle interventions (when two or more lifestyle interventions are combined), as well as observational longitudinal studies that have assessed several lifestyle behaviors over time. Reports using a life-course perspective are also welcome.
Although our main focus regards research in humans, cutting-edge animal studies may be considered.
The Journal of Aging Research & Lifestyle is indexed in PubMed Central.
The Journal of Frailty & Aging (JFA) is a e-only gold open access peer-reviewed international journal aimed at presenting articles that are related to research in the area of aging and age-related (sub)clinical conditions. In particular, the journal publishes high-quality papers describing and discussing social, biological, and clinical features underlying the onset and development of frailty in older persons.
The Journal of Frailty & Aging is composed by five different sections:
Biology of frailty and aging. In this section, the journal presents reports from preclinical studies and experiences focused at identifying, describing, and understanding the subclinical pathophysiological mechanisms at the basis of frailty and aging.
Physical frailty and age-related body composition modifications. Studies exploring the physical and functional components of frailty are contained in this section. Moreover, since body composition plays a major role in determining physical frailty and, at the same time, represents the most evident feature of the aging process, special attention is given to studies focused on sarcopenia and obesity at older age.Neurosciences of frailty and aging. The section presents results from studies exploring the cognitive and neurological aspects of frailty and age-related conditions. In particular, papers on neurodegenerative conditions of advanced age are welcomed.
Frailty and aging in clinical practice and public health. This journal’s section is devoted at presenting studies on clinical issues of frailty and age-related conditions. This multidisciplinary section particularly welcomes reports from clinicians coming from different backgrounds and specialties dealing with the heterogeneous clinical manifestations of advanced age. Moreover, this part of the journal also contains reports on frailty- and age-related social and public health issues.
Clinical trials and therapeutics. This final section contains all the manuscripts presenting data on (pharmacological and non-pharmacological) interventions aimed at preventing, delaying, or treating frailty and age-related conditions.
The Journal of Frailty & Aging considers for publication original papers, review articles, case reports, controversies, letters to the Editor, and book reviews. Manuscripts will be evaluated by the editorial staff and, if suitable, by expert reviewers assigned by the editors. The journal particularly welcomes papers by researchers from different backgrounds and specialities who may want to share their views and experiences on the common themes of frailty and aging.The Journal of Frailty & Aging is indexed in MEDLINE, ESCI (WoS) and Scopus.
The Journal of Prevention of Alzheimer’Disease (JPAD) is a e-only gold open access journal that publishes reviews, original research articles and short reports to improve the knowledge in the field of Alzheimer prevention including: neurosciences, biomarkers, imaging, epidemiology, public health, physical cognitive exercise, nutrition, risk and protective factors, drug development, trials design, and heath economic outcomes.JPAD publishes also the meeting abstracts from the Clinical Trial on Alzheimer Disease - CTAD's event.The Journal of Prevention of Alzheimer’Disease is indexed in MEDLINE, SCIE (WoS), Scopus, and ranked in its categories in the first quartile (Q1) in both SCIE (WoS) and Scopus databases.
