Journal of the American Society of Cytopathology

  • ISSN: 2213-2945
JASC is the official journal of the American Society of Cytopathology, and reflects the values and priorities of the society. JASC publishes regular bimonthly issues with cutting-edge original research of the highest standard. The Journal seeks to provide an exceptional forum for interaction and dissemination of original research and educational information in the field of cytopathology and other allied disciplines in medicine. The cross-disciplinary focus of the journal ensures the sharing of information with all readers involved in the practice of cytopathology and its related basic sciences, epidemiology and clinical oncologic disciplines.JASC endeavors to have a positive impact not only on all aspects of cancer diagnosis and treatment, but also on other human disease. JASC publishes original work emphasizing novel discoveries or clinicopathologic correlations in a patient-centered environment, technological advances in basic and translational research with emphasis on the development of personalized medicine, and new or improved molecular techniques and their novel application for diagnosis or monitoring of disease. Preference is also given to original work demonstrating the scholarship of education in cytopathology including new innovative tools for continuing education and training as well as designing and implementing new assessment and evaluation techniques. It duly addresses and highlights issues relating to population health and public policy topics. It is the goal of JASC to lead the discipline of cytopathology by setting professional quality standards ensuring diagnostic excellence, advocating laboratory safety and quality, and inter-professional education for pathologists, cytotechnologists and all allied health care specialties.

Practical Laboratory Medicine

  • ISSN: 2352-5517
  • 5 Year impact factor: 1.7
  • Impact factor: 1.7
Practical Laboratory Medicine is a high-quality, peer-reviewed, international open-access journal publishing original research, new methods and critical evaluations, case reports and short papers in the fields of clinical chemistry and laboratory medicine. The objective of the journal is to provide practical information of immediate relevance to workers in clinical laboratories. The primary scope of the journal covers clinical chemistry, hematology, molecular biology and genetics relevant to laboratory medicine, microbiology, immunology, therapeutic drug monitoring and toxicology, laboratory management and informatics. We welcome papers which describe critical evaluations of biomarkers and their role in the diagnosis and treatment of clinically significant disease, validation of commercial and in-house IVD methods, method comparisons, interference reports, the development of new reagents and reference materials, reference range studies and regulatory compliance reports. Manuscripts describing the development of new methods applicable to laboratory medicine (including point-of-care testing) are particularly encouraged, even if preliminary or small scale. While novel or innovative work is preferred, papers of a confirmatory nature will also be considered if they are scientifically and technically valid and relevant to important topics.

URINE

  • ISSN: 2590-2806
URINE promotes basic research, translation and clinical applications in the area of urine, with the aim of improving understanding, screening, diagnosis, treatment monitoring and disease management. The journal not only accelerates the development of research in this field but helps to build connections between the diverse communities involved in urine research. The next generation of biomarker is projected to rely heavily upon urinary biomarkers to stratify risk, diagnose disease, determine optimal treatment strategies, evaluate drug response and monitor disease progression. These objectives are achieved by providing a fast, author-focused publication process. All types of papers are welcome, and each submission benefits from expert peer-review. To protect the novelty of authors, URINE encourages and welcomes the submission of manuscripts that have already been posted on a preprint archive.Submissions on a variety of urine-related topics will be considered. These include, but are not limited to, papers addressing:Urinary biomarker discovery and validation and the development of various systematic diseases.Disease development observations from changes in urine.Screening for early signs of pathophysiological processes in the body.Disease management and treatment based on early diagnosis of the diseases in urine.Technological developments that can potentially be applied to the field of urine, either in basic research or clinical applications, for example, biobanking methods of various urine components.Bioinformatics related to urinary biomarker studies.Urinary extracellular vesiclesUrinary-based liquid biopsiesIn recognition of the breadth of the research communities active in biomarker studies, the URINE Executive Editorial board will consist of four types of researchers at all times:Clinical domain expertsExperts in physiology, biology, biochemistry and related disciplinesStatistical and experimental design expertsEngineering expertsThis will help to ensure that the journal can reliably evaluate a range of studies and maintain a diverse collection of articles.
