Al igual que en la edición anterior, se introducen los conceptos progresivamente, comenzando por los más básicos e intentando generar una forma de entender y abordar los problemas que permita la comprensión y la utilización de técnicas más complejas. Se persigue no abusar del lenguaje matemático, resaltando las ideas intuitivas sobre los procedimientos y la interpretación de los resultados.
