Organized into 21 chapters, this volume begins with an overview of the most colorimetric methods for estimating uric acid based on the nonspecific reduction of phosphotungstate by uric acid in an alkaline solution. This text then examines the electrophoretic separation and quantitation of proteins in serum or other body fluids.
