About the Editors:
Andrew Foss is a senior advisor in the Office of Nuclear Energy at the U.S. Department of Energy. He has contributed to numerous reports and articles on nuclear cost reduction strategies, commercialization pathways, investment cases, and policy planning. He has collaborated with national laboratory and government colleagues, university researchers, private developers, and entrepreneurs. He received a master’s degree in public policy with concentration in energy and natural resources from the Harvard Kennedy School, and a bachelor’s degree in physics from Amherst College.

Nicolas Stauff is Group Manager, Nuclear Applications and Economics Group at Argonne National Laboratory. He leads various projects for U.S. government agencies in the areas of techno-economics and market analyses for nuclear energy, and for the nuclear industry in the areas of advanced reactor design and reactor physics analyses. He is author/co-author of more than 100 peer-reviewed publications, several U.S. patents and open-source software programs. He received his Ph.D. in nuclear engineering from the University of Paris XI and his M.S and B.S. in electrical engineering from the SUPELEC school in France.
