About the Author:

Rand Wilcox is a professor at the University of Southern California. He specializes in statistical methods, particularly robust methods for comparing groups, studying associations, detecting outliers, and analyzing multivariate data. He is the author of over 380 papers and fourteen other books.  He is a past Associate Editor for Communications in Statistics—Theory and Methods, Communications in Statistics—Simulation and Computation, Psychometrika and Computational Statistics & Data Analysis. He has served on many other editorial boards and has given numerous invited talks including several keynote addresses. Prof. Wilcox is an APS fellow and an elected member of the International Statistical Institute.
