  • 5 Year impact factor: 7.5
  • Impact factor: 6.7
and Electronic CommerceThe common thread of articles published in Decision Support Systems is their relevance to theoretical and technical issues in the support of enhanced decision making. The areas addressed may include foundations, functionality, interfaces, implementation, impacts, and evaluation of decision support systems (DSSs). Manuscripts may draw from diverse methods and methodologies, including those from decision theory, economics, econometrics, statistics, computer supported cooperative work, data base management, linguistics, management science, mathematical modeling, operations management, cognitive science, psychology, user interface management, and others. However, a manuscript focused on direct contributions to any of these related areas should be submitted to an outlet appropriate to the specific area.Examples of research topics that would be appropriate for Decision Support Systems include the following:1. DSS Foundations e.g. principles, concepts, and theories of enhanced decision making; formal languages and research methods enabling improvements in decision making. It is important that theory validation be carefully addressed.2. DSS Functionality e.g. methods, tools, and techniques for developing thefunctional aspects of enhanced decision making; solver, model, and/or data management in DSSs; rule formulation and management in DSSs; DSS development and use in computer supported cooperative work, negotiation, research and product.3. DSS Interfaces e.g. methods, tools, and techniques for designing and developing DSS interfaces; development, management, and presentation of knowledge in a DSS; coordination of a DSS's interface with its functionality.4. DSS Implementation - experiences in DSS development and utilization; DSS management and updating; DSS instruction/training. A critical consideration must be how specific experiences provide more general implications.5. DSS Evaluation and Impact e.g. evaluation metrics and processes; DSS impact on decision makers, organizational processes and performance.

Development Engineering

  • ISSN: 2352-7285
The Journal of Engineering in Economic DevelopmentDevelopment Engineering will be discontinued as of 2023. We would like to express our sincere thanks to the authors, referees, editors and editorial board members who have contributed to the journal over past few years. All published papers will remain available on ScienceDirect.Development Engineering : The Journal of Engineering in Economic Development (Dev Eng) is an open access, interdisciplinary journal applying engineering and economic research to the problems of poverty. Published studies must present novel research motivated by a specific global development problem. The journal serves as a bridge between engineers, economists, and other scientists involved in research on human, social, and economic development.Specific topics include:• Engineering research in response to unique constraints imposed by poverty. • Assessment of pro-poor technology solutions, including field performance, consumer adoption, and end-user impacts. • Novel technologies or tools for measuring behavioral, economic, and social outcomes in low-resource settings. • Hypothesis-generating research that explores technology markets and the role of innovation in economic development. • Lessons from the field, especially null results from field trials and technical failure analyses. • Rigorous analysis of existing development "solutions" through an engineering or economic lens.Although the journal focuses on quantitative, scientific approaches, it is intended to be suitable for a wider audience of development practitioners and policy makers, with evidence that can be used to improve decision-making. It also will be useful for engineering and applied economics faculty who conduct research or teach in "technology for development."The journal maintains high standards for publication, in terms of methodological rigor and contribution to the literature. It prioritizes novel, experimental work that directly integrates engineering research with statistically rigorous methods from the social sciences. The Editors will consider review articles that cover significant, emerging trends in engineering for global development. Published papers are expected to be applied in nature; however, they should generate fundamental knowledge that advances basic fields of science and engineering. Additionally, Dev Eng editors recognize that there is a lack of high-quality work from researchers in developing countries published in leading international journals. To encourage and facilitate submissions from authors in low to middle income countries, the journal will offer mentorship support to help authors overcome barriers such as language differences, writing skills and familiarity with the publishing process.Author duties: Submission of a manuscript to the journal carries with it an understanding that the authors, when requested, will fulfil an obligation to contribute their expertise to the review of others manuscripts. For enquiries please visit our Support Center.

  • Impact factor: 5.7
Presenting research that bears on important conceptual issues in developmental psychology, Developmental Review: Perspectives in Behavior and Cognition provides lifespan, aging, infancy, child, and adolescent behavioral scientists with authoritative articles that reflect current thinking and cover significant scientific developments. The journal emphasizes human developmental processes and gives particular attention to research that is relevant to developmental psychology. This research has fundamental implications for the fields of cognitive science, developmental sciences, decision sciences, pediatrics, psychiatry, and neuroscience.Developmental Review publishes two types of articles: (1) theory papers that advance new empirically tested hypotheses or frameworks and (2) literature reviews that include but go beyond summaries, instead rigorously interpreting findings about important phenomena. Unlike many other journals, we do not publish empirical reports, although data can be used to test and illustrate new theories. That is, the journal publishes original integrative reviews of empirical studies from important segments of the developmental psychology literature, and it also publishes original theoretical articles on important segments of the developmental psychology literature. For both types of submissions, we emphasize research that tests hypotheses about underlying processes or mechanisms of behavior. Manuscripts are also reviewed for their novelty, currency, and relevance to our readership.FeaturesIntegrated collections of papers on a single themeReviews of the literatureTheoretical statementsBenefits to authors We also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more. Digital Applications in Archaeology and Cultural Heritage

  • ISSN: 2212-0548
Digital Applications in Archaeology and Cultural Heritage (DAACH) is an on-line, peer-reviewed journal which publishes innovative research, applications and projects related to digital technologies in archaeology and cultural heritage. Scholars can publish 3D digital models of the world's cultural heritage sites, monuments, and palaeoanthropological remains, accompanied by associated academic articles. The journal aims both to preserve digital cultural heritage models and to provide access to them for the scholarly community to facilitate the academic debate. DAACH offers scholars the opportunity of publishing their models online with full interactivity so that users can explore them at will. It is unique in that its focus is on the application of 3D modeling to cultural heritage. DAACH will provide full peer-review for all 3D models, not just the text, 2D renderings or video fly-throughs, and requires all models to be accompanied by metadata, documentation, and a related article, explaining the history of the subject and its state of preservation, as well as an account of the modeling project itself. The journal focuses on scholarship that either promotes the application of 3D technologies to the fields of archaeology, art and architectural history, and palaeoanthropology or uses 3D technology to make a significant contribution to the study of built structures, works of art or palaeoanthropological remains. The provision of a 3D model is not compulsory for an article to be published in this journal.
