The Journal publishes new research findings in the field of Adolescent and Young Adult Health and Medicine ranging from the basic biological and behavioral sciences to public health and policy. We seek original manuscripts, brief reports, review articles, clinical case reports, letters to the editor, and commentaries from our colleagues in Anthropology, Education, Ethics, Global Health, Health Services Research, Law, Medicine, Mental and Behavorial Health, Nursing, Nutrition, Psychology, Public Health and Policy, Social Work, Sociology, Youth Development, and other disciplines that work with or are committed to improving the health and well-being of adolescents and young adults. In addition we seek poetry, personal narratives, images, and other creative works from young people, family and community members, and health professionals that deepen our insights into the lived experiences of adolescents and young adults in a way that can augment scientific peer-reviewed research.The Journal is the official publication of the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine (SAHM), a multidisciplinary organization committed to improving the health and well-being of adolescents and young adults. One of the Society's primary goals is the development, synthesis, and dissemination of scientific and scholarly knowledge unique to the health needs of young people. To meet this goal, the Society established The Journal of Adolescent Health in 1980.

This journal seeks articles related to the economics of health and medical care. Its scope will include the following topics:Production and supply of health services;Demand and utilization of health services;Financing of health services;Determinants of health, including investments in health and risky health behaviors;Economic consequences of ill-health;Behavioral models of demanders, suppliers and other health care agencies;Evaluation of policy interventions that yield economic insights;Efficiency and distributional aspects of health policy;and such other topics as the Editors may deem appropriate. Applications to problems in both developed and less-developed countries are welcomed. Articles need to make a significant contribution in answering an interesting and important question in health economics. We welcome theoretical and empirical papers which contain a strong economics component. The Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis (JTH) is the official journal of the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis. The mission of JTH is to advance science related to the important medical problems of thrombosis, bleeding disorders and vascular biology through the diffusion and exchange of information and ideas within the international research community. The Journal publishes high quality, original research reports, state of the art reviews, brief reports, case reports, invited commentaries on publications in the Journal, forum articles, correspondence and announcements. Editors invite both fundamental and clinical contributions.These include basic manuscripts on blood coagulation and fibrinolysis, proteins and reactions, blood platelets, and the interaction of all these components with other biological systems such as, but not limited to, the vessel wall, blood cells, and invading organisms. Clinical manuscripts can cover a wide variety of topics including venous thrombosis and arterial disease, plus hemophilia and other bleeding disorders, as well as platelet diseases. The subject area of clinical manuscripts can range from etiology to diagnostics, prognosis, prevention, and treatment.

Patient Education and Counseling (PEC) is the Official journal of EACH, the International Association for Communication in Health Care and ACH, the Academy of Communication in Healthcare. Social Science & Medicine provides an international and interdisciplinary forum for the dissemination of social science research on health. We publish original research articles (both empirical and theoretical), reviews, position papers and commentaries on health issues, to inform current research, policy and practice in all areas of common interest to social scientists, health practitioners, and policy makers. The journal publishes material relevant to any aspect of health from a wide range of social science disciplines (anthropology, economics, epidemiology, geography, policy, psychology, and sociology), and material relevant to the social sciences from any of the professions concerned with physical and mental health, health care, clinical practice, and health policy and organization. We encourage material which is of general interest to an international readership.The journal publishes the following types of contribution:Peer-reviewed original research articles and critical analytical reviews in any area of social science research relevant to health and healthcare. These papers may be up to 9000 words including abstract, tables, figures, references and (printed) appendices as well as the main text. Papers below this limit are preferred.Systematic reviews and literature reviews of up to 15000 words including abstract, tables, figures, references and (printed) appendices as well as the main text.Submitted or invited commentaries and responses debating, and published alongside, selected articles.Special Issues bringing together collections of papers on a particular theme, and usually guest edited. Spatial and Spatio-Temporal Epidemiology is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that provides a home for high quality work which straddles the areas of GIS, epidemiology, exposure science, and spatial statistics. The journal focuses on answering epidemiological questions where spatial and spatio-temporal approaches are appropriate. The methods should help to advance our understanding of infectious and non-infectious diseases in humans.The journal will also consider applications where health care provision is the focus. Coverage of veterinary topics will be included, and those with direct human health implications are especially welcome. The journal places special emphasis on spatio-temporal aspects of emerging diseases (e.g. COVID-19, avian flu, SARS), development of spatial statistical and computational methods, and novel applications of geospatial technology (e.g., GPS, GIS) for shedding insights on exposure and disease processes.The journal accepts three different types of submissions: 1. Methods papers that outline new methodology in the areas of GIS, spatial statistics, exposure science, and/or epidemiology; 2. Case Study/Applications papers where recently developed methodology is applied to novel applications with a clear exposure/disease focus; and 3. Short reports where a) they are around 4-8 text pages in length b) they focus on an important novel development and c) the development should be capable of description within the page length. Case Studies progress reports in the form of 'what we have done so far' are not acceptable as Short Reports unless they comply with b) or c) above.
