Request a sales quoteThe Journal of Cycling and Micromobility Research (JCMR) is an open access, peer-reviewed academic journal which targets papers concerned with a wide range of cycling and micromobility related research topics. JCMR welcomes submissions from all perspectives, including critiques and negative findings, so long as the research is robust and scientifically sound.
Research topics include 1) Integration of bicycles and micromobility (including, e.g. pedestrians and e-scooters) in the transport system as a whole, 2) The understanding and modelling of demand for bicycle use and other micromobility modes, 3) Bicycle and micromobility safety, 4) Health impacts and other societal impacts from bicycle use, 5) Policy analysis regarding bicycle use, 6) Planning of bicycle infrastructure, 7) Socio-economic profiling and social behavioural aspects of bicycle use, 8) Gender and equity issues with respect to bicycle use, 9) The role of cycling in the micromobility eco-system, and 10) Data and data collection research methods in cycling research.
Topics may be approached from a variety of disciplines: engineering, psychology, sociology, transport, geography, economics, and urban planning. The papers should clearly address policy-relevant aspects and societal impacts and must be based on a solid research methodology and high-quality data. The journal will be international and place equal emphasis on the problems of cities, rural regions, and industrialized and non-industrialized regions in the world.
