El texto se organiza en 8 grandes secciones (Introducción, Dorso, Tórax, Miembro superior, Abdomen, Pelvis y perineo, Miembro inferior y Cabeza y cuello). Se ha añadido un número importante de cuadros de  "Notas de disección" para facilitar aún más, si cabe, el aprendizaje  por parte del alumno de cómo realizar una correcta disección. De forma totalmente novedosa, se han incluido unos cuadros de "Notas anatómicas" en las que se incluyen explicaciones ampliadas de la zona estudiada y unos pequeños dibujos esquemáticos que facilitan la orientación espacial. Incluye un total de 30 procedimientos clínicos (punción lumbar, aspiración de líquido sinovial, lavado peritoneal...), con lo cual queda de manifiesto la importante relevancia clínica del texto. Dichas aplicaciones clínicas se recogen al final de cada una de las secciones. Cada una de ellas se ilustra convenientemente, con los correspondientes ejes y planos para que se entienda perfectamente el movimiento.* En el caso de los nervios, hay que hacer una especial mención a la parte de los Nervios craneales, que se agrupan al final del libro.
