World Neurosurgery's mission is to: • To provide a first-class international forum and a 2-way conduit for dialogue that is relevant to neurosurgeons and providers who care for neurosurgery patients. The categories of the exchanged information include clinical and basic science, as well as global information that provide social, political, educational, economic, cultural or societal insights and knowledge that are of significance and relevance to worldwide neurosurgery patient care. • To act as a primary intellectual catalyst for the stimulation of creativity, the creation of new knowledge, and the enhancement of quality neurosurgical care worldwide. • To provide a forum for communication that enriches the lives of all neurosurgeons and their colleagues; and, in so doing, enriches the lives of their patients. Topics to be addressed in World Neurosurgery include: EDUCATION, ECONOMICS, RESEARCH, POLITICS, HISTORY, CULTURE, CLINICAL SCIENCE, LABORATORY SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, OPERATIVE TECHNIQUES, CLINICAL IMAGES, VIDEOS World Neurosurgery has an open access companion journal World Neurosurgery: X which accepts similar articles to those found in World Neurosurgery. Relaunching in July 2022 with a new Editor-in-Chief and Advisory Board, World Neurosurgery: X is expecting to grow submissions and content, specifically in the areas of innovation, education, leadership, and quality improvement. The journal will be offering Article Processing Charge (APC) waivers until June 30th, 2023. Authors can submit manuscripts via Editorial Manager: https://www.editorialmanager.com/wnsx/default1.aspx. In addition, World Neurosurgery: X will also process manuscripts from Elsevier's Article Transfer Service, which means authors do not have to resubmit or reformat a manuscript; they just have to accept the transfer provided by another Elsevier journal. While this service does not constitute a guarantee that your paper will be published in the suggested journal, we hope this arrangement will help expedite the process for promising papers.
