Total Environment Microbiology

Total Environment Microbiology is an international, open access and multi-disciplinary journal for publication of novel, hypothesis-driven and high-impact research on environmental microbiology, which interfaces the effect of atmosphere, lithosphere, hydrosphere, biosphere, and anthroposphere on microbes and their activities. Field studies have preference, while papers describing laboratory experiments must demonstrate significant advances in methodology or mechanistic understanding with a clear connection to the environment.
