  • 5 Year impact factor: 2.9
  • Impact factor: 2.7
Official publication of The International Society for Autonomic Neuroscience This is an international journal with broad coverage of all aspects of the autonomic nervous system in man and animals. The main areas of interest include the innervation of blood vessels and viscera, autonomic ganglia, efferent and afferent autonomic pathways, and autonomic nuclei and pathways in the central nervous system. The Editors will consider papers that deal with any aspect of the autonomic nervous system, including structure, physiology, pharmacology, biochemistry, development, evolution, ageing, behavioural aspects, integrative role and influence on emotional and physical states of the body. Interdisciplinary studies will be encouraged. Studies dealing with human pathology will be also welcome. The journal publishes Special Issues in which leading experts are invited to serve as Guest Editors to compile a collection of reviews, and occasionally original articles, around a particular topical theme in neuroscience research. The list of recent Special Issues can be found here. Suggestions for Special Issues can be made directly to the Editor-in-Chief.

Behavioural Brain Research

  • ISSN: 0166-4328
  • 5 Year impact factor: 3
  • Impact factor: 2.7
Behavioural Brain Research is an international, interdisciplinary journal dedicated to the publication of articles in the field of behavioural neuroscience, broadly defined. Contributions from the entire range of disciplines that comprise the neurosciences, behavioural sciences or cognitive sciences are appropriate, as long as the goal is to delineate the neural mechanisms underlying behaviour. Thus, studies may range from neurophysiological, neuroanatomical, neurochemical or neuropharmacological analysis of brain-behaviour relations, including the use of molecular genetic or behavioural genetic approaches, to studies that involve the use of brain imaging techniques, to neuroethological studies. The journal considers research in a wide variety of species including invertebrates, vertebrates, and humans. Reports of original research, of major methodological advances, or of novel conceptual approaches are all encouraged. Behavioural Brain Research also considers critical reviews and meta-analyses. Benefits to authors We provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more. Behavioural Processes

  • ISSN: 0376-6357
  • 5 Year impact factor: 1.9
  • Impact factor: 1.3
Behavioural Processes is dedicated to the publication of high-quality original research on animal behaviour from any theoretical perspective. It welcomes contributions that consider animal behaviour from behavioural analytic, cognitive, ethological, ecological and evolutionary points of view. This list is not intended to be exhaustive, and papers that integrate theory and methodology across disciplines are particularly welcome. The quality of research and focus on behavioural processes are the sole criteria for acceptance. Behavioural Processes considers both papers investigating basic behavioural phenomena and behavioural studies of more applied significance. Papers reporting solely on human behaviour may be considered for publication if they relate closely to non-human research within the journal's remit. Authors of papers reporting research on human subjects are invited to contact the editors for advice prior to submission, as they are for papers of all kinds. Behavioural Processes publishes three categories of paper. First, regular Research Papers presenting the results of original experiments or outlining novel theoretical positions. Second, Reviews which summarize the state of knowledge in an area of animal behavioural research. Third, Short Reports which are short communications reporting the outcome of a single experiment in no more than 2000 words and a total of two tables or figures.

Brain Behavior and Immunity Integrative

  • ISSN: 2949-8341
Brain, Behavior, and Immunity - Integrative (BBI - Integrative) is an open access journal and a companion title to Brain, Behavior, and Immunity and Brain, Behavior, and Immunity - Health (https://www.sciencedirect.com/journal/brain-behavior-and-immunity-health). All three sister journals are official publications of the Psychoneuroimmunology Research Society (www.pnirs.org). The aims of this journal are to: (1) Explore how the mind and body communicate with one another through the immune system with a focus on Eastern approaches; (2) Promote understanding of how regulation of these physiological systems, with an emphasis on immunity, affects physical and mental health; and (3) Advance understanding of Eastern health practices and medicine. Mind-body connections form the essential basis of Eastern health practices and medicine. BBI-Integrative is dedicated to publishing high-quality research on mind-body investigations dealing with behavioral, neural, endocrine and immune system interactions, with a focus on integrative Asian health practices and medicine. The journal publishes research that defines the effectiveness of Eastern medicine and its physiological underpinnings in both pre-clinical animal models and human studies - regardless of the country of origin or the research center where the research is generated. Eastern approaches to health and wellness are becoming integrated into Western medicine. This culture has a shared lifestyle of behaviors, traditions and psychosocial interactions that is substantially different from that in the Western world. Some, like movement and mindfulness, have now made their way into acceptance in Western medicine. Other approaches, like herbal dietary medicine, acupuncture, moxibustion, jin shin jyutsu, massage and music therapy, are not commonly used in the West with the underlying physiological mechanistic pathways that are responsible for changes following these treatments being poorly understood. Publications in a variety of formats are welcome. These include original research articles, reviews, meta-analyses, case reports, special issues and viewpoints.
