  • 5 Year impact factor: 4
  • Impact factor: 4
An International Journal Integrating Experimental, Clinical and Social Studies on Aging Archives of Gerontology and Geriatrics provides a medium for the publication of papers from the fields of experimental gerontology and clinical and social geriatrics. The principal aim of the journal is to facilitate the exchange of information between specialists in these three fields of gerontological research. Experimental papers dealing with the basic mechanisms of aging at molecular, cellular, tissue or organ levels will be published. Clinical papers will be accepted if they provide sufficiently new information or are of fundamental importance for the knowledge of human aging. Purely descriptive clinical papers will be accepted only if the results permit further interpretation. Papers dealing with anti-aging pharmacological preparations in humans are welcome. Papers on the social aspects of geriatrics will be accepted if they are of general interest regarding the epidemiology of aging and the efficiency and working methods of the social organizations for the health care of the elderly. Benefits to authors We also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more. Archives of Gerontology and Geriatrics Plus

  • ISSN: 2950-3078
Archives of Gerontology and Geriatrics Plus is a companion title to the well-established and respected journal Archives of Gerontology and Geriatrics. It is an open access, quarterly, international journal integrating Experimental, Clinical, and Social Studies on Ageing. Archives of Gerontology and Geriatrics Plus serves as a platform for publishing papers within the domains of aging biology, experimental gerontology, and clinical and social gerontology. The primary objective of the journal is to facilitate the exchange of advanced knowledge among experts in these specialized research fields. We welcome experimental papers that delve into the fundamental mechanisms of aging, spanning molecular, cellular, tissue, and organ levels. Our journal considers clinical papers for publication if they introduce novel insights or hold fundamental significance for the understanding of human aging and healthcare for the elderly. Purely descriptive clinical papers are eligible for acceptance only when their results offer room for further interpretation. Moreover, we eagerly invite papers addressing pharmacological interventions targeting age-related conditions in humans. Additionally, we extend an invitation for submissions focusing on the social dimensions of gerontology. Such papers are encouraged if they contribute to a broader understanding of aging epidemiology, as well as the efficacy and operational methodologies of social institutions dedicated to elderly healthcare.

  • 5 Year impact factor: 2
  • Impact factor: 2
The journal Arthropod Structure & Development publishes original research and review articles dealing with all levels of fossil and extant arthropod structure, morphology, and development in a comparative, functional, paleontological, phylogenetic, and evolutionary framework. Structures range from gene expression and ultrastructure to morphological body organization, including at the levels of cells, tissues, and organs. Developmental aspects comprise pattern formation, cell lineage, organogenesis, regeneration, embryology, and postembryonic development. Arthropod Structure & Development invites suggestions for special issues. Specifically, the following research areas are covered: • Exoskeleton, integument, musculature, and glands. • Sensory structures, central nervous systems, and neuroendocrine systems. • Circulatory, respiratory, visceral, and excretory organs. • Reproductive systems, organogenesis, and repair. • Embryology, pattern formation, and development. • Comparative morphology from the phylogenetic perspective. • Paleontology. A thorough and efficient peer-review system with the assistance of section editors and advisory board members of world-wide reputation will ensure that published papers conform to high scientific standards. Review articles and article series on relevant topics will be invited at regular intervals and will be subject to peer-review. Particular emphasis will be given to high quality line and half-tone illustrations. Exceptional colour plates will be printed free of charge. Supplementary 3-D and videos and other electronic addenda can be submitted with the manuscript and published on the journal's website after acceptance.

Aspects of Molecular Medicine

  • ISSN: 2949-6888
An Official Journal of the International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Aspects of Molecular Medicine is a gold open access journal with the goal of rapidly publishing new research articles and short reviews on the molecular and cellular basis of disease. Using tools from biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology, physiology, pharmacology, and pathology, the articles are intended to describe the mechanistic background of disease and make it understandable at the clinical level. By publishing recent cutting-edge research, it is complementary to its sister journal, Molecular Aspects of Medicine, which publishes only lengthy review articles on established aspects of molecular medicine. The purpose of Aspects of Molecular Medicine is to provide a clinical foundation for basic scientists and a rationalization of disease for the clinician.

BBA Advances

  • ISSN: 2667-1603
One of the 10 topical journals of BBA BBA Advances is an open access multidisciplinary journal that is complementary to the existing nine BBA journals. It publishes high-quality research showing novel results in all aspects of biochemistry, biophysics, and related areas, such as molecular and cell biology, and aims to provide a vibrant forum for researchers to explore topics that are important to them and their community. We have particular interest in papers with mechanistic insights or significant novelty. Areas of focus include Biophysical and structural biology of proteins, peptides, and nucleic acids Single-molecule studies Phase transitions in biology Biophysics of cellular homeostasis Protein misfolding and functional self-assembly Biomolecules in green and sustainable processes Novel enzymology, including dynamics and evolution Host-pathogen interactions Membrane trafficking and secretory pathways Mechanical and electrical biophysics Membrane biophysics Cytoskeletal assemblies Novel biomaterials Protein design The journal publishes full research articles, reviews, mini-reviews, and research letters. An addition to this list is "Five Burning Questions," an initiative to promote a scientific topic in a succinct and focused format. We offer researchers the opportunity to identify what they find to be the five most important questions that need to be addressed in an area important to them. We will then publish these papers in a special subsection of the journal. See the Guide for Authors for details on the format. The journal operates the same high standard and rigor of peer review as the other BBA journals. Authors can submit papers for consideration and peer review directly to the journal through the submission site. Uniquely, the journal also offers a parallel route to publication for authors. Once an author has had their paper peer-reviewed and accepted in one of the other BBA journals, they have the option of choosing to publish their paper in either the journal they submitted to or transferring their accepted paper to BBA Advances for publication without further review.
