Request a sales quotePartial Differential Equations in Applied Mathematics provides a platform for the rapid circulation of original research in applied mathematics and applied sciences by utilizing partial differential equations and related techniques. Contributions on analytical and numerical approaches are both encouraged. All manuscripts should be written to be accessible to a broad scientific audience, who are interested in partial differential equations and their applications in the more mathematical aspects of physics and engineering sciences. Suitability of any paper is at the discretion of the editors.
The covered topics include, but are not limited to, existence, uniqueness, well-posedness and long-time asymptotics for the solutions of nonlinear PDEs, integrability and soliton theory (including inverse scattering method, dressing method, Hirota’s method, Darboux and Backlund transformations, d-bar problem, Riemann-Hilbert problem, soliton hierarchies, Painlevé analysis, initial and boundary value problems for integrable systems), explicit solutions in the form of lumps, kinks, peakons, breathers, rogue waves, shock waves, etc. Contributions devoted to spectral theory and PDEs, Lie symmetry, Lagrangian, Hamiltonian, or geometric methods for PDEs are welcome.
