Nonlinear Science is a peer-reviewed journal which publishes papers that are scientifically sound, technically correct and report original research in the field of nonlinear science in a broad sense.

Original manuscripts on theoretical, experimental and numerical results in nonlinear science are encouraged, coming from mathematics, physics, engineering or any related fields.

Nonlinear Science welcomes the submission of three types of papers:

  • research articles

  • short communications

  • reviews

The journal publishes topics including:

  • bifurcation, attractors and chaos

  • synchronization and control of nonlinear systems

  • nonlinear analysis and differential equations

  • experimental and observational studies, e.g., measurement of ocean waves

  • numerical methods and computational physics, e.g., fluid flow, structural dynamics, biology etc.

  • analysis and modelling of nonlinear problems in natural science and engineering application, e.g., celestial body motion, climate change and offshore wind energy

  • data-driven science, simulation and application, e.g., model-building, machine learning, data analysis, time series and signal analysis

  • complexity and networks: complex, social, biological, physical, electrical, mechanical etc.

  • epidemiology: modelling, dynamics and control

  • quantification and computation of social communication, behaviours and dynamics
