Microbiological Research

Microbiological Research publishes original research and review articles spanning all areas of microbiology, including bacteria, archaea, fungi, protozoa, and other microorganisms. The journal welcomes studies addressing molecular, cellular, genetic, physiological, ecological, clinical, environmental, and biotechnological aspects of microorganisms and their interactions with hosts and environments. Manuscripts should provide significant mechanistic or conceptual advances of broad interest; preliminary, purely descriptive, or highly specialized studies are generally not considered.
