Marine and Petroleum Geology is the international forum for all areas covering marine and petroleum geology. The journal aims to advance the environmentally sustainable exploration and utilization of natural resources of petroleum and gas hydrate. Science and engineering advancement in the form of using geological formations for safe storage of various gases to help achieve net-zero carbon goals is particularly welcomed. Rapid bimonthly publication allows early communication of papers or short communication to the geoscience community.
Marine and Petroleum Geology is essential reading for geologists, geophysicists and explorationists in academia, government, and industry working in the following areas: marine geology; basin analysis and evaluation; organic geochemistry; reserve/resource estimation; seismic stratigraphy; thermal models of basic evolution; sedimentary geology; continental margins; geophysical interpretation; structural geology/tectonics; formation evaluation techniques; well logging.
