Request a sales quoteThe Journal of Membrane Science Letters (JMS Letters) is an international journal aimed at publishing rapid, short communications on high quality, original research in all areas of non-biological membrane science, with focus on new membrane materials, fundamentals of membrane synthesis and properties, and novel membrane processes. Rapid communications papers published in JMS Letters should be significant contributions that advance membrane science.
JMS Letters also publishes brief frontier reviews to highlight emerging themes as well as perspective articles. The selection of a paper will involve initial screening, internal evaluation, and external peer review.
The Journal publishes novel and high-impact contributions on the following topics:
New membranes and membrane materials
Membrane synthesis and formation
Characterization of membranes
Membrane transport and other physical and chemical properties
New membrane processes
Fundamental and new insights into transport/separation in membrane devices
New membrane application with a focus on the role of the membrane
However, the following areas are excluded:
Bio-logical membranes
Thin films or materials not for selective transport of mass
Use of membranes as adsorbent for transient separation
Electrodes in electrochemical energy devices
