Geopsychiatry is dedicated to advancing the burgeoning subdiscipline that shares the same name, focussing on the intersections between geopolitical factors and mental health outcomes in de face of international challenges. Specifically, Geopsychiatry is interested in exploring the implications of distal factors and phenomena, including (bot not limited to) conflicts, sociopolitical issues, climate change, natural and manmade disasters, and migration on mental health at a populational and local level.

The journal aims to disseminate high-quality, Open Access research and informed opinion on the determinants of mental health affected by geographical, political, commercial, and social factors, whilst providing a platform for diverse voices, representing perspectives from both global and local angles.

The editorial ethos of Geopsychiatry is informed by social justice and actively supports a culture of inclusive and representative publication.
