European Psychiatry is the official journal of the European Psychiatric Association, the largest international association of psychiatrists in Europe. The purpose of the EPA is to improve the lives of patients with psychiatric disorders and to promote professional excellence through education and research. European Psychiatry supports the mission of the EPA and publishes articles on topics relevant to all mental health clinicians, researchers and neuroscientists. Manuscripts are accepted for consideration by European Psychiatry with the understanding that they represent original material, have not been published previously, are not being considered for publication elsewhere, and have been approved by all authors. Manuscripts on clinical trials will only be considered if reporting on trials registered in a public trials registry. European Psychiatry does not accept book reviews, case reports, short communications or letters (unless part of an invited commentary).
