It is a medium for the publication of original and forefront research and high quality reviews covering recent advances in all fields of Earth Sciences. It is a dominating topic journal, each issue is devoted to a single topic and edited by an authority in that field.
Each year, from 2007 onwards, issues of ESF will be developed along three themes:
(1) Earth Materials for Nos. 1 and 2
(2) Earth Tectonics and Dynamics for Nos. 3 and 4; and
(3) Earth Surface Processes for Nos. 5 and 6. Manuscripts dealing with these themes are welcomed.
The journal has been indexed or abstracted by Abstracts Journal Russian, Chemical Abstract, Zoological Record, Cambridge Scientific Abstracts, GeoRef, and so on.
