Prof. Basu is an academician, researcher, and professor in India with more than 16 years of teaching experience. He is dedicated and distinguished service as a teacher and has authored two books and 16 book chapters in pharmaceutical sciences (Elsevier, Apple Academic Press, Wiley, Springer). He has to his credit over 39 publications in reputed pharmaceutical Journals and has supervised 22 M. Pharm. candidates, currently supervising 4 M. Pharm., and 4 Ph.D. candidates. He has been a reviewer for several international and national research journals and a life member of IPA and APTI. He has been awarded the “Young Achiever Award 2021” & “Young Researcher Award 2022” from the Institute of Scholar Award in 2021 & 2022. He has been awarded the “Award for Excellence in Research” from the National Education Brilliance Award 2021, in recognition of and appreciation for his outstanding contribution to education.

He has authored multiple peer reviewed research articles in various international SCI indexed journals and book chapters. He has published principal authored articles in high impact journals like Journal of Biological Chemistry, FEBS Journal, etc.
