International Review of Cytology presents current advances and comprehensive reviews in cell biology-both plant and animal. Articles address structure and control of gene expression, nucleocytoplasmic interactions, control of cell development and differentiation, and cell transformation and growth. Authored by some of the foremost scientists in the field, each volume provides up-to-date information and directions for future research.
Cell biologists, molecular biologists, developmental biologists, physiologists (organ level), biomedical scientists, biochemists studying cell-cell interactions, cell variation, and evolution.
The Unique Structure of Lepidopteran Spindles, K.W. Wolf.
Cellular Mechanisms for the Activation of Blood Coagulation, C.L. Geczy.
Function and Modulation of Expression of Auxin-Regulated Genes, Y. Takahashi, S. Ishida, and T. Nagata.
Regulation of Mitochondrial Gene Expression in Saccharomyces cerevisiae, C.L. Dieckmann and R.R. Staples.
Dynamics of the Calcium Signal That Triggers Mammalian Egg Activation, K. Swann and J.-P. Ozil.
Regeneration of Mammalian Retinal Pigment Epithelium, G.E. Korte, J.I. Perlman, and A. Pollack.
Habituation as a Tumerous State That Is Interchangeable with a Normal State in Plant Cells, K. Syono and T. Fujita.

Kwang W. Jeon
Kwang Jeon received his Ph.D. in cell physiology at King’s College, University of London, UK, in 1964 and taught at SUNY Buffalo and University of Tennessee. His research was concerned with the biogenesis and function of cell components in two major areas: Integration of intracellular symbionts into host cells leading to the acquisition of new cell components and cell variation; Membrane-protein recycling during endo- and exocytosis.
