Matti Lehtonen has been a Full Professor and the Head of the Power Systems and High Voltage Engineering Group at Aalto University, Finland, since 1999. Prior this role he worked with VTT Energy, Finland, from 1987 to 2003. His research interests include power system planning and assets management, power system protection, including earth fault problems, harmonic-related issues, high voltage systems, power cable insulation, and polymer nanocomposites. He is an Editor and a Special Issue Editor of IET Generation, Transmission and Distribution and an Associate Editor of Electric Power Systems Research.
