Description
Empowering Health through Lifestyle Medicine: The Essential Guide for Preventing and Managing Chronic Disease combines the most updated and available research with personal insights and experience, using the Lifestyle Medicine 6 pillar framework. The book engages readers not only in the description and efficacy of LM but also in its knowledge and discussions on concepts and behaviors for managing nutrition, physical activity, stress, mental health, and how our interactions with the environment can create a healthier, happier life. It will encourage clinicians to engage their patients more often, and more practically, with lifestyle medicine, while also helping consumers engage with their clinicians.
With a goal of helping clinicians and healthcare related professionals prevent and manage lifestyle-related illnesses for life, this evidenced-based book can be used by anyone in healthcare. It is also ideal for those researching illness prevention and chronic disease management to improve health research practice and patient outcomes.
