Designed for physicians who are managing women with gynecologic malignancies, Decision Making in Gynecologic Oncology is a practical reference to help guide daily clinical decision making. Organized by cancer type and specific disease for quick reference, each chapter presents key concepts in an algorithmic format, using easy-to-interpret decision trees that visually outline the critical steps and choices involved in patient management. Brief explanatory text accompanies each algorithm, clarifying the significance of important decision points and encouraging systematic, logical thinking throughout the diagnostic and surgical process.
- Contains dozens of algorithms that follow a consistent format for quick and easy navigation, with clear explanatory notes alongside each decision tree
- Provides algorithms for a wide variety of common and rare diseases, including premalignant lesions, vulvar cancer, vaginal cancer, cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, ovarian cancer, and gestational trophoblastic disease, as well as management of surgical complications, pelvic exenteration, ERAS, nutrition, palliative care, hereditary syndromes, and more
- Covers common clinical diagnostic and management situations, serving as a useful teaching tool for trainees or a quick reference for physicians and surgeons wanting a brief, uncluttered format to support rapid decision making
- An eBook version is included with purchase.
